Artificial intelligence has started to make itself known around the world. It will slowly continue to make its way into people’s education and imagination, taking over how people view and learn certain things.
AI is starting to become more commonly used among students, using it to help them solve problems without struggling to do the work themselves. Instead of spending hours of their free time doing homework, many resort to using AI allowing for the work to be done in a matter of minutes.
This method can be useful sometimes to help with questions you may not know and need to look for in a short amount of time, although AI is a powerful tool that is often misused.
AI is not always a good thing to use while researching or looking for an answer, as artificial intelligence can be just like any other human made object and make mistakes.
The information it may provide is not always going to be correct and may be from an unreliable source. Many people can also manipulate AI into thinking one thing is correct, while in reality it is not.
AI should not be considered a reliable source, especially when it comes to important information. Yes, using AI could help you understand certain things better and get work done faster, but it won’t always be the right answers to help you.
Even if the majority of the information it gives you might be correct, it might still be incorrect in crucial parts. People have also found ways to manipulate information that AI was given. Now it can start spreading false information without people knowing and researching for themselves.
Other than answering questions that people may have, AI can also be used to create art. However, study shows that AI doesn’t create its own art, it actually searches the internet and combines different art from people to make what AI calls their own.
For instance, many artists have found someone posting on social media about their art, claiming it as their own while saying that they made it by using artificial intelligence art.
Artists’ opinions about AI art are very negative and they do not enjoy having their art stolen by AI and another user claiming that their art is AI art.
“I think it’s really harmful to artists of all kinds…[Art] doesn’t come from AI and it’s human creation. And I think it’s a really beautiful thing to create,” says freshman Kendall Ballestero.
Artists have worked for hours or even days on drawings, only for their hard work to get stolen by artificial intelligence and giving it out to people. People have often used artificial intelligence to make art since they don’t want to spend time creating art themselves.
Art is a form of expression and creativity, and using AI to get inspiration or make art for people removes the creativity and enjoyment of creating something you could have called your own. “With AI, [it] can’t really put emotion or any feeling into [the art]…It’s really sad to see it take over nowadays,” stated Ballestero.
Artificial intelligence is slowly taking over people’s hard work, jobs, and even their education. Additionally, in some cases, people’s own projects that they’ve been working on for months, have unfortunately been stolen by AI.
Furthermore, employees are getting fired from their jobs just to get replaced by an AI bot. AI is slowly affecting everyone’s education, yet they are not retaining any information because all they did to find an answer was to ask AI.
This is only a few of the many reasons why AI is slowly affecting the world, and how it is affecting humans too.
