The recent online drama surrounding Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez has gone so far that Selena took to Instagram defending Bieber, who claimed she’s been receiving death threats.

Many social media users believe that Hailey, along with Kylie Jenner, poked fun at Selena Gomez after she had posted about her imperfect laminated eyebrows on Tiktok earlier this month. Hailey and Kylie, in what seemed to be a pointed response, posted close-ups of their styled and flawless eyebrows.

Fans of Selena are very upset with Hailey Bieber, as conflict between the two (driven by gossip websites) has circulated for years. Hailey is married to Gomez’s ex-boyfriend, infamous pop star Justin Bieber. However, fans have taken the supposed feud even further, by pointing out eerie coincidences in the past where Hailey seemingly copied Gomez.

For example, Hailey repeated many of Selena’s phrases, or even posted online about how cute and adorable Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s relationship was, long before she met her now-husband.

The drama has now come to a head, because Hailey Bieber announced she is scrapping her brand, Rhode Beauty, and instead will be launching “Bare Beauty,” which will focus on minimal makeup and uplifting women who choose to wear beauty products.

While this may seem like a strategic career decision, it is quite ironic that Selena Gomez does own “Rare Beauty,” which features products that have shade names such as “Happy” or “Encourage.”

“It’s an incredible coincidence, really,” said Bieber. “I had never heard of it before. Justin thought it was a great name.”
