D4VD is an artist who is a current staple in the music industry. On September 8th, 2025, a horrific scene of a body that was cut up into pieces in the back of a trunk of an impounded car. This car was then found to be registered to D4VD.
The body was found in an impound lot in Hollywood, Los Angeles, after being abandoned in the Hollywood Hills. The police were called to the tow yard after employees Police were called to the tow yard on September 8, 2025, after employees reported a foul odor coming from the car’s front trunk.
Some key details about the discovery are that the body was found “severely decomposed” and wrapped in a bag, indicating the body had been deceased inside the vehicle for an extended period. Soon after the body was discovered, officials were able to identify the dismembered body, it belonged to a fifteen-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas, who had been missing for over a year.
Celeste Rivas was a young girl from Lake Elsinore who was reported missing in April 2024, when she was just 13. In her community, she was often known to go “missing” because she had a habit of running away. According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department records, Celeste’s family reported her missing three times previously.
It has also been confirmed and reported that Celeste and the singer D4VD have been in a relationship for the past three years. They met when Celeste was 12 and David Burke (D4VD) was 17. Celeste’s family states that the girl and D4VD met online when she was 12. They then started dating and had a romantic relationship until she was reported missing for the last time.
On the day the body was found in the trunk of a Tesla that belonged to DV4D, he had been on tour. DV4Ds’ tour started in Houston on April 27, 2025, he then launched the main North American leg on August 5, 2025, in Del Mar, California. This is a significant gap in the investigation and causes many to question the entire case.
According to DV4D and his team, he is “cooperating” with investigators. In response to the case, all remaining U.S. tour dates and several international shows were canceled or removed.
Currently, there are still many unanswered questions: Celeste’s cause of death, what role does D4vD play in all of this, the actual timeline and relationship of Celeste and D4vD, and so on. Something that had also raised lots of suspicion is how both Celeste and D4vD have a matching tattoo on their middle fingers that says “Shhh.”
Since all this information has surfaced, there have been zero arrests, convictions, or really anything concrete yet. There is only evidence and facts, so everything is still alleged until any action is taken by officials.
